Computer Aided Transport Scheduling Software
Technical requirements
Prior to installation the following must be provided in order that the installation may be
completed within the initial set-up package.
- All machines to have minimum setup of 80GB Hard Disc, P4 Processor and 2GB RAM
with XP Professional operating system. Server to have System Administrator
privileges available.
- Microsoft MapPoint 2006 (or later) installed on each machine
- Broadband connection on the server (N.B. systems operating with remote servers
connected via internet/VPN will result in slower speeds)
- The server must have a shared folder with all users having full control
(read/write) on that folder and that all users have read/write access to the CATSS
installation folder on their own machine (usually c:\program files\TVO +
subfolders)
- Maps of boundaries of wards, parishes, local authorities and charging zones
etc.(in ESRI shape or Mapinfo MID/mif files) are essential if you charge by zones
or need to produce reports by zones, parish or local authority boundaries. These
should be available from the GIS dept of your local authority for organisations
with a contract or SLA with that authority
- All networking hardware and software to be fully functional prior to visit.
Failure will result in additional visits being charged for as above.

organisations.
